Pasadena Students “Spread Their Wings” With Let Grow Activities

Pasadena students shared their October Let Grow activities, building on the independence they began developing in September with the theme “Spreading Your Wings.” From making breakfast and doing laundry to walking to friends’ houses and making their own beds, students continued to grow in confidence, responsibility and self-reliance!

Meteorologist John Marshall visited Pasadena Elementary School and spoke to third grade students about the weather and Earth’s seasons. Using a green screen, projector and computer, student volunteers stepped into the role of weather reporters by delivering a weekly forecast and sharing updates on natural events.

Welcome Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor!

On Friday, Pasadena Elementary School welcomed the Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor, Mr. Joseph Saladino, to their courtyard for a special tree planting ceremony in honor of Anaira Mate, who earned second place in the town’s annual poster contest.

High Schools Mentors

High School mentors spent some time with Pasadena 2nd grade students engaging with them through reading activities, games, conversations, and school projects. The goal is to create a fun, supportive environment where both mentors and mentees can learn and grow together. What a wonderful expereince!
